Top 10 ideas for long haul flights with kids.

– iPad. Even if you don’t allow your kids much screen time at home, downloading films to an iPad for a long haul flight can really keep them amused. 📱

– Book a night flight. We always try and do this wherever possible. If you can get your little one to sleep it makes the journey so much easier. 😴

– Inflatable cubes. Consider an inflatable flight cube or bed if the airline permits it. These can help with sleeping babies/toddlers, giving you a more relaxed flight.

– Pjs/Sleepsuit. Bring some pjs and a Sleepsuit/blanket to help with familiarity at sleep time.

– Purchase an extra seat. Consider buying an extra seat to give yourselves that bit more room on a long flight, then your little one has more wiggle room or better chance to get comfy at bed time. 💺

– A seat for under 2s. Most airlines allow under 2s to travel on your knee. Again if you are getting close to having a 2 year old consider paying for a child’s seat then they have their own seat and are not sat on you the entire flight.
– Snacks. Goes without saying and even though the majority of long haul flights come with meals, extra snacks are always useful to pass time with your little one. 🍪

– Change of clothes. Plenty of spare clothes…. Children always seem to spill food/drinks and everything else they can possibly find to spill down themselves on a flight.

– Disposable bibs. If you are still at the bib stage bring some disposable ones then you can get rid of them as soon as they are wet/dirty and are not having to carry them all through the flight.
– Wipes. Make sure your nappy bag is full of wipes for all spillages and sticky fingers. Also for any nappy changes, and the same goes for plenty of nappies you don’t want to run out mid flight, especially if you still are using them for night time.
